Purpose
We collect and use your personal information so that we can contact you to let you know about our services and activities.
The type of personal information we collect
Personal information is information about you as an individual and which can identify you. We currently collect the following information: name, address, mobile telephone number, email address.
We do not collect sensitive information generally, but we may need the following information in some situations, for example if you ask for help in contacting another organisation we may need to know: your nationality, language, immigration status, medical information. We will hold that information only for as long as it is needed for that purpose.
How we get the personal information
1. Directly from you when you give us your name and contact details;
2. Indirectly when a third party refers you to Bridgeway.
Using your personal information
We use the personal information that you have given us in order
· To send information to you about our services which are practical, social, spiritual and signposting information.
· To send information about regular and occasional activities.
· To obtain a statistical overview of our work. This is used for funding applications and anonymous background information about Bridgeway’s work
Where individual support is requested by you, you will be asked to sign and date an individual consent form.
Sharing information
We do not share your personal information without your consent except in some limited situations:
We can share information where there is a legal basis to do so. For example:
· employment law allows us to share tax and national insurance data;
· where there is a court order to do so;
· when there is a need to protect life.
Keeping your information
We keep your personal details for as long as we need them to contact you and continue to use them.
They are stored electronically on the manager’s device only and are protected by password.
Your rights
You have the rights:
· to know what personal information we hold about you, how we collect and keep it and how it may be shared.
You also have the rights:
· to have a copy of the information we hold about you;
· to correct inaccurate information;
· to restrict how we use the information;
· to erase the information;
· to object to our use of your personal information.
